A Review of the Recent Researches on Overseas Ships' Survivability Assessmentand Damage Control Technologies

The survivability and damage control techniques are the major guarantees of ships' combat capability. As a result，the assessment technology of ships' survivability and damage control has always been a global focus for marine researchers. Although a series of breakthroughs has been achieved during recent years by overseas navies，the research on survivability assessment and damage control techniques，being interdisciplinary in nature，still has broad space for development. In this paper，the overseas development status of survivability assessment systems，the development tendency of intelligent monitoring and decision-making technologies for damage control，and the intelligent pipe network reconfiguration technologies are discussed in detail.
