Design of Virtual Instrumental System to the Measure Vibration of Ship Deck Structures by LabVIEW

  • This paper develops a virtual analysis and evaluation system for the vibration of ship deck structures by using the virtual instrumental software of LabVIEW,considering the vibration characteristics of such structure s and implementing the related ISO standards and codes. Through the deck vibration test onboard, the results are compared to those obtained from conventional vibration measurement instrument VA-IO. The comparisons show that developed system is reliable and higher in accuracy, and can be used for engineering measurement. This system may be expanded to a module for mode analysis of ship structures and becomes a tool to evaluate and di agnosis the vibration during navigation.
