New Power Generating System with Variable Speed Constant Frequency/Voltage for Marine Application

  • A model of marine power generating system with variable speed constant frequency/voltage (VSCFCV) is presented. The system is suitable for application to an electric propulsion ship. In this system, the double fed generator acts as prime one, while the synchronous generator acts as excitation one. It can not only compensate for the inactive power pulse of the electric network, but also can produces more power, and make the system simple and stable.
