Performance fault simulation and analysis of marine two-stroke diesel engine

  •   Objectives  The fault data of large-scale marine two-stroke diesel engines is difficult to obtain by experiments and other methods. How to accurately obtain the variation rules of main thermal parameters under various failure modes is of great significance for the establishment of fault diagnosis system for intelligent marine diesel engines.
Methods  Based on the actual parameters of MAN 6S35 ME-B9 marine electronically controlled two-stroke diesel engine, the one-dimensional model of the working process was built in GT-Power software, and the diesel engine model was corrected by experimental data to obtain the normal working condition of the diesel engine. The calculation model simulates typical diesel engine faults by setting relevant parameters in the model, and simulates the working process of diesel engines at different ambient temperatures.
Results  Through the processing and analysis of the calculation result data, the variation rules of thermal parameters and performance parameters of diesel engine faults and different fault degrees, and the variation rules of diesel engine thermal parameters under different environmental temperatures were obtained,
Conclusions  which provide a reference for the fault diagnosis of marine diesel engines and provide a basis for diesel engine troubleshooting.
