The Regression Formula of Location Hydrodynamic Derivatives of Supply Vessels Based on CFD Method

  • This paper takes the dynamic positioning supply vessel as the research subject,and a series of ship models are generated through hull form transformation. The CFD method is applied to numerically simulate the drift Planar Motion Mechanism(PMM) test to calculate the hydrodynamic characteristics of the models in different drift angles. Then,the location hydrodynamic derivatives are obtained with the least squares fitting method. On this basis,the regression formula of location hydrodynamic derivatives is obtained through multiple regression,which provides an easy method to determine hydrodynamic derivatives during the preliminary design stage.
