Numerical simulation of the open water performance of parameter matching of B series tandem propellers

  • 摘要: 分析研究B系列螺旋桨的敞水性能,应用VB语言编制B系列桨回归方程的计算程序,数值过程基于雷诺平均纳维—斯托克斯(RANS)法处理数值粘性流场,采用Fortran语言、Pro/E和GAMBIT前处理软件联合建模并划分网格,研究湍流模型对螺旋桨敞水性能的影响,对串列螺旋桨数值计算验证和敞水性能参数匹配问题进行研究,分析其尾流和速度场的变化状况.结果表明:RSM模型为较佳湍流模型;合适的桨距比和叶错角可明显提高串列桨的敞水性能,串列桨后桨吸收前桨的尾涡能量,且随着与盘面处的距离增大,串列桨轴向诱导速度减少趋势快于单桨,可提高串列桨的敞水效率.

     

    Abstract: Numerical study of the open water performance of B series propellers is conducted in this paper,with the regression equation,which comes from the open water test of B series propellers,programmed using VB language,and the viscous flow field analyzed based on RANS method. The process involves FORTRAN program,Pro/E and GAMBIT to establish the propeller model. Then,the open water performances of B4-40 propellers are compared under different kinds of turbulence models;the numerical results and the parameter matching problem of tandem propellers are studied,and the changes of wakes and axial velocity distribution are observed. The results show that the RSM model is superior to other turbulence models,and the reasonable angle and distance between the blades of tandem propellers significantly improve the propulsion efficiency. The tandem propellers can effectively absorb the energy of trailing vortex,and as the distance of the disk increases,the axial velocity of the tandem propellers decreases faster than that for a single paddle,so the open water efficiency of the tandem propellers can be greatly increased.
