  • 海军核动力发展半个多世纪以来,各核海军大国通过陆上模式堆的建设、试验和运行,逐步发展起不同程度的海军核动力技术,陆上模式堆在突破技术、保障进度和积累经验等方面为舰艇核动力装备的发展做出了不可或缺的贡献。在舰艇核动力发展的早期和中期,各国建设的模式堆用于掌握和全面验证核动力技术,为型号应用减少技术风险,模式堆与型号装备之间关系密切,用于不同技术路线的综合对比和演示验证。在舰艇核动力技术发展的中期和近期,模式堆主要起技术验证作用。随着舰艇压水堆技术的日趋成熟,以及计算分析技术的发展,模式堆建设和试验主要用于解决理论上难以掌握和分析的综合性关键技术,而不是简单的、程序性的工程层面型号应用前的全面综合性能验证。目前,陆上模式堆的建设与维持热度有所下降,但在未来新型舰艇核动力系统研发过程中,陆上模式堆仍将是最有效的研发手段之一。
