Numerical Simulation on Slamming Load of Two Dimensional Wedge-Shaped Section

By using the simulation software Fluent, the water entry of wedge-shaped sections was studied and a two-dimensional finite element model was built up considering the effect of external atmo-spheric pressure,gravity a nd mesh quality. The article calculated the impact pressure of the wedgeshaped sections with different deadrise angles on constant velocity. The results show that the water impactincreases with addition of deadrise ang les and velocity.
